Is this really for old PCs? +
Yes. That is our core mission. While SwiftOS will make a modern gaming rig faster, it is specifically designed to bring life back to machines considered "obsolete" by modern standards.
Can I really run this on 512MB of RAM? +
Absolutely. The system will boot and run its stock applications. However, modern web browsing on such low memory will be slow. We recommend at least 2-4GB for a comfortable browsing experience, but the core OS is hyper-efficient.
Can I skip the pre-installed programs? +
No, you can't cancel the process on the "we are getting things done" screen. BUT, if you don't need the pre-installed programs, press Ctrl+Alt+Delete, click "Log out", and then log back in. The installation script for the extra programs will be skipped! If you want to keep them, just wait for the system to fully boot to the desktop.
Do I need a Windows license? +
Yes. SwiftOS is a heavily modified version of Windows 10 LTSC 2021, not a cracked copy. It does not include an activator. You must use your own legal Windows 10 key for activation.
How do I install it? +
Download the .ISO file from our hub. Use a tool like Rufus or Ventoy to create a bootable USB drive (8GB minimum). Boot from the USB and follow the standard Windows installation process.
